"GUGLIELMO MARCONI, voyage around the World
In the early seventies LLOYD TRIESTINO in order to try and generate more business to the shipping line, with further passengers travelling on their ships, made the decision to send their Australian sisters around the World instead of the via Suez canal round trips. In 1973 "GUGLIELMO MARCONI" departed Genova on the 25th of August for another around the World voyage, one of the two she did that year, GALILEO went just once around the World in 1973, the ship was back at Genova on the 7th of November, we are going to bring back to life that trip on this blog with daily posts recreating that epic voyage. Photos above the ship at the Suez Canal, during a call and me on board the ship in the MED in May of 1976
